Ambivalent Torture is an alternative electro-industrial act produced and fronted by visual arts and sound mastermind Stallon Silver. Recognized for its unique hybrid of styles, Ambivalent Torture is a volatile ensemble of discord capturing elements of electronica, dark wave and industrial rock pierced with lustful haunting chants of passion and despair. It's main musical influences reflect the darker tones from the early works of Nine Inch Nails, Stabbing Westward and Marilyn Manson while drawing inspiration from some of today's more dangerous, synth driven electronic productions.
"...the things he loved and lusted over were the very same things he despised and resented, for they would bring him turmoil and brooding misery."

Spawned as a dream turned nightmare circa 2006 as an escape from the -isms of self loathing and compulsive apprehension, Ambivalent Torture remained dormant for many years as a figment of pure imagination. A shadow of jealousy, addiction and deceit was cast upon Silver in his early day, impeding the artist from making any strides on the project and robbing him of all inspiration. The darkness surrounding him was a total distraction outside of his control that would hinder and eventually consume him. Left powerless and locked in this vicious cycle of a prison, subtle spurts of creativity would arise from time to time followed by a grimly, foreseeable habit of self sabotage that would ensue for years to come.

The name Ambivalent Torture was born from the realizations and afflictions of how the things he loved and lusted over were the very same things he despised and resented, for they would bring him turmoil and brooding misery. Due to the exhaustion from this perpetual tug of war, Silver wouldn't bring the project to life until early 2013 with the demo of his semi autobiographical cut; Can't you see we're Broken. While the demo generated some buzz and prominent criticism, the celebration of this milestone was short lived for the scourge that suffocated this undertaking for years would inevitably re-establish control. This time she would deploy her most devastating attacks, sabotaging all momentum and further delaying the project.

Despite the apocalypse of his mind and infection of his soul, Silver would not relent. Fueled by the rancor and eternal lament inflicted by the deathly grasps of The Morbid Trinity [the wraiths deployed to destroy and derail him from his path] Silver would redirect all the pain and fire inside himself towards his growth in self development, his passions in art, dance, theater, and a plethora of song writing in order to finally exorcise those demons. By the end of 2016, Stallon Silver would rise again and return to the project with a stronger resolve than ever.

The music of Ambivalent Torture thematically revisits his treacherous journey through hell and repeated encounters with the myriad forms of The Morbid Trinity while creatively exploring the noise inside our protagonist's twisted psyche. The long awaited 7 track EP appropriately titled, The Wretched Mind of the Flesh, is currently in production and scheduled for a 2018 release.
